Amazing seafood spot! The vibe was upbeat with great music and even a live performer. Service was top-notch—the owner came by our table, which made the experience feel really personal. The food was absolutely worth it. Generous portions, flavorful boil, and a great margarita. My husband loved his shrimp po’ boy and garlic fries too. It was busy when we went (Friday night), so just be prepared—but it’s definitely worth it. We’ll be back!

Went here with a group of people for dinner. Firstly, they do have some types of events where they play music and the like, I just went during a regular day, and when they weren't busy, so bear that in mind. I got the mussels and clams, and I got to try some of their starters; fried calamari, fried okra, onion rings, and buffalo lemon pepper wings. The food all around was good. Of course, it is seafood, so some of the options can be pricey, but considering this, I would say it is priced fairly. The mussels and clams were quite tasty, I do wish that the garlic they added in the broth was cut a tad smaller and more consistently, personally. Fried okra was also good, although some did stick together, not the biggest issue, however. The wings were also good, not the best, but it isn't a wings place, they even gave us a side of buffalo sauce since the lemon pepper is a dry rub and I prefer my ribs more wet. The onion rings were also good, better than Carl's Jr. The fried calamari we didn't order, but they accidentally gave that to us, and it was also good, still not the best I've tried, and don't eat fried calamari with ranch like one of the persons in my party did. Let me tell you something, THIS IS THE BEST CRAB BOIL IVE HAD IN MY LIFE. I don’t even know how to explain it but the flavors were all there and the meat was fat ! I let my friend take me here for my birthday and everything we ordered was so good! Definitely will be coming back

My family and I recently visited Joe's Crab Shack and had such an amazing experience! The Chef’s Choice Crab Boil is our absolute favorite, especially with the mild hot sauce. It has this perfect tangy flavor without being overly salty or spicy like some other crab boils, and the portion size is generous and super satisfying. Their iced teas are also incredible, my personal favorite is the guava. So refreshing! Everything we tried just hit the spot. I love this place because it really works for any mood or season (warm, comforting dishes for colder days, and lighter, filling options when it’s hot out). And if you’re into drinks, their tropical cocktails are absolutely refreshing. The wait staff was on point, friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. It also looks like such a fun place to host a party. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Highly recommend, out of all the seafood spots I had in LA and SD, this spot hits best out of all of them, highly recommend to try all sauces they have available , and service was amazing . Highly recommend to come here!
